For me, that's like asking who's your favorite drummer. Too many styles, types and categories. Drew inspiration from so many.

Favorite Movie? Lord of the Rings(the whole trilogy and The Hobbitt.) and The Godfather I and II (I don't like the third one).

Favorite Actor? It's a toss up for me, either Morgan Freeman or Samuel L. Jackson.

Favorite Director? Again, it's a toss up. Either Peter Jackson or Joss Whedon (because of the dialogue he writes).

Saving Private Ryan for the movie.

Paul Newman, who should have had 5-6 Academy Awards, for the actor.

    Meryl Streep for the actress.

Hitch**** for the suspense he was able to create.

    No favorite company.

Elmer Bernstein for Magnificent 7 theme, and Isaac Hayes for Shaft. Hard to beat those 2 for "total coolness".

Geez, I wouldn't know where to begin listing fave movies, let alone actors and directors and so on.

Mind you, just two of my fave movie soundtrack composers are Stewart Copeland and Basil Poledouris. Everyone knows Basil for the "Conan The Barbarian" soundtrack, but other soundtracks he'd done were for "Hunt For Red October", "Red Dawn" & "Starship Troopers", but he did many others. And of course, Copeland's no slouch either...."Wall Street", "Rumble Fish", "Highlander II: The Quickening" and a bunch of others. Plus he did the theme for "The Equalizer" TV series.

Same here. I can think of 50 actors off the top of my head that I like, same with directors. Then there's the actors who also direct and produce, often all for the same movie. Probably do the choreography, too.

The only favorite i have is the film.

Rocky 4!!! not because it's a decent film although i think it is, but because it's has so many memories for me and my brother, it's the first film we saw at the cinema and have ruined loads of video's through countless watching and both brought each other the dvd box set when it came out, we can watch the film and play the characters as we know the words, our wives get sick of it as we watch it when we get together, when my daughter was born it was the first thing i put on when we got home. we love boxing because of Rocky.

I thought about making a movie once.

Was going to be called Close Encounters of the Expensive Kind.

It would have been about my marriages.

And if you liked Paul Hogan in that movie, do yourself a favour and check out Youtube for snippets and episodes of the "Paul Hogan Show" from Australia. "Hoges" as a lot of us call him, was a must-see in the 70's and early 80's for him larrikin sense of humour ('larrikin' is our slang for someone who's mischievous). Markadiddle, I'd think you'd get this sort of humour pretty easily matey!

I used to love watching his show when it was on here in the 80's, especially the crap stuntman Leo W*nker. Brilliantly funny.

I had no idea Paul Hogan had his own comedy show. I pulled up a couple clips on youtube. Hilarious! Thanks for that DD.
