    I'm very surprised he hasn't been posted yet.



    Tony Royster, Jr.

    - Born in 1984
    - Won the Guitar Center Drum Off in 1995 at the age of 11
    - Was voted #1 Up and Coming in Modern Drummer magazine around that time
    - Played at Modern Drummer festival in 1997, being the youngest to do so
    - Is known for his use of the Moeller method and his amazingly quick hands and feet
    - Is known for his funk, R&B, jazz, Latin, and rock styles.
    - Influenced by Dennis Chambers, Jim Chapin, and Billy Cobham
    - Currently plays for rapper Jay Z

    He is a major influence for many young drummers and he has amazing chops.

    I saw most of his videos and he is in the videos on DC. The guy is phenominal even when he was just a kid.

    i meet him last year at the montreal drumfest
    he give me a pair of stick and i make him sign it
    i say to him that video make me almost quit drumming because of it LOL

    Of the two videos, I thought the Pearls sounded better than the DW's.

    His speed and chops are insane. Extremely versatile too. His skills are limitless it seems. Plus his kit(s) always sound really damn good

    These clinics were insane.



    They only did a few of them, but seeing Dave and Tony play off each other was wild. They did one for DW Factory Days and a few for Guitar Center, but I think that was it.
