Signia Fan......love the look of those drums.........looks like a labor of love

The one thing I don't like is that mount............just covers up way too much of that beautiful drum

Wow, those are amazing drums. This was an awesome thread to follow from an antique bed to amazing drums. Thanks for your time posting it. I really enjoyed it. Once again, amazingly beautiful drums. Is a full drum kit picture coming?

OK, life sometimes delay's one's projects. Got the kit assembled and did a short video so you can hear the final product. I may still tweak a few things, but even as they sit I think the kit sounds pretty sweet.

    VIDEO :

The snare is a Canarywood stave I built, very thin (1/4") with maple re-rings, die cast hoops. The toms are sporting coated ambassador bottom heads with clear pinstripe on top. Kick has Aquarian super kick 1 with a coated ambassador on the front. the 15" Floor tom has a home built rubber suspension mounting system for the 3 legs, works fabulously.

Thank Pearlman, no mics, just straight off the Fuji digital camera. It is a Finepix 9000, which is a 35mm style digital worth about $600. Not a cheap camera but not over the top expensive, it must have some sort of compression limiter cause I have recorded on stage too and it does a really good job.

Signia fan if someone would ask you what make of drums are they. What would you answer. We all know you made them from scratch but a complete stranger ( drummer) who doesn't know that.

I know, so hard for me to commit to a brand name. I have had "chunkies" as my first choice for quite some time, but I keep thinking I will come up with something I like more and changing would be that much more difficult.

I'm glad they sound great...but honestly, they look so good just sitting there that I wouldn't care what they sound like. Beautiful job! They remind me of whiskey barrels....maybe you should call them "XXX".
