That is crazy what is th e deal with swiveling the feet to the side?
Hi, i'm curious if anyone can tell me what the tension setting might be on these pedals? Loose , tight, this guy makes it look effortless. I'm doing a lot more work and not getting anywhere near the same result. Thanks.

I have seen quite a few people do that, I have started doing it once I get to a certain speed, it comes naturally to me although not nearly as fast as that.
To the OP I have heard both sides of the tension argument but a video I watched not too long ago said to push the middle of the pedal once quickly with your hand and count how many times the beater hits the head. When I 1st did it my beater hit the head atleast 15 times, I loosened the spring tension quite a bit and got it to hit the head 8 times and love the feel much better. Just a thought on something you could play with to see how it feels.

I think if you follow the Derek Roddy hand/foot speed practice regiment you'll be that fast within a short amount of time. Part 2 is the instructions on how and why and Part 3 is where the lesson continues.
Part 2
Part 3
If I recall correctly, Arconda maxes his spring tension, like what George Kollias and I think Derek Roddy does.
Edit - nevermind, it says at the end of his video that he has his springs about 3/4 of the max tension.
