Default Sonor kit is back home, unbelievable.

Well the Sonor kit I sold last week is back home. Honestly the story is unbelievable to me. In a nutshell it involves a woman and her X boyfriend, the woman's brother, and the police. Long story short, the guy that bought the kit stole the money from his current girlfriend then dumped her and moved out. He didn't cover his tracks, the woman's brother tracked him down, called the cops, I was contacted by the cops and the woman, the kit was returned and I gave her back the $600.00. AND I may be asked to testify if this thing goes to court. Nuts I say, anyway I've decided if something this messed up brought this kit back to me , I'm going to keep it.

Set it back up yesterday. I made a mini riser for the 18" kick drum so my pedal's beater would strike the center of the head instead of the top. Sounds much better. It's a bit on an eyesore but it only cost me $10.00 for materials and 20 minutes of my time. Once I paint it flat black it will be less noticeable.

Wow how bout that? Some things are just meant to be (or aren't, depending on which way you look at it )

Which kit did you sell again?

Crazy story. Glad the drums came back without damage.

I like the white riser. I think black would stand out too much.

    Beautiful finish on those SONORs.

I agree, this could have turned out badly. I'm amazed they were able to get the drums back at all.....and without damage. I would have expected the guy to beat the tar out of them, keep half, and then give what was left of the drums back to the girl.

It was nice of you to take them back and give the money back. I doubt you were under any legal obligation to. I would have been tempted to keep 20% as a "restock fee"......but I'm soft hearted and would have done the same as you did.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

It turns out that the money that was stolen was for her upcoming rent payment, so I had no problem taking the kit back. I was told it never left the guys truck. It was still locked in the back when the brother found him. They were able to find me because the guy had my name and number written down , if not they would have been stuck with the kit.
