The cleaning/polishing has been completed. Unfortunately for me, I will not be able to keep this set as my family needs the money more than I need another kit.

The shot may be bad, but the set looks awesome. I hope you get a good price for that set; it looks almost as good as it would to a wannabe Ringo Starr back around, say, 1965!

Actually, for a Paiste collector like myself, those have a pretty cool historical value. How do they sound? (I presume you did try them out a bit?)

Man those sizes! You'll get a pretty penny for those.

    I have a 63' Super Classic (13", 16", 22", 14"snare)

I love the blue sparkle but wish I have gotten 12", 14", 20", 14"snare lol.

    Beautiful clean up!

They are actually 15 inch hats! I haven't done anything other than tap them with a stick while holding them in my hand. Not necessarily a fan of what I heard, but I'll put them on my practice kit and give'm a spin.

    UPDATE:

After listing the set twice, and getting all sorts of low-ball offers, trade offers, serious questions, stupid questions, and a ton of tire kicking, My wife has conceded.

I GET TO KEEP THE KIT!

I was so blown away I didn't sleep well last night. Oh the thoughts running through my head!

Ambassador suede batter over Fiberskyn reso?

Do I get it ready for my gig tomorrow night? For next weeks gig?

I've never played a kit with less than 3 toms. Do I need to start searching for a 13x9 and/or 16x16????

Oh the joy, and the horror??

Congrats on keeping the kit. It's a beauty...but if I were you, I wouldn't push my luck trying to find another tom for it lol.

There's nothing wrong with playing two toms vs. three. Just a different approach.

Great news! I'm very happy for you. It's nice to know that kit will stay with someone that will take care of it and appreciate it.

I agree with keeping it as a 3pc. Once you get used to playing with just one rack and one floor Tom, you'll actually begin to like it. If you MUST have another tom, I would look for another floor tom. Leave the one mounted Tom on the rail and keep your ride cymbal out in front.

My 1967 set of Ludwig Super Classics came with Coated Ambassadors all around except for the kick. Top and bottom on the toms. They really gave it that classic, fat, Ludwig sound that I still like to this day. I bought them for $600.00,(or I should say that my folks did!), for my 1st set. White Marine Pearl. And that included all the hardware, Paiste Cymbals, and hard cases.

I wonder where they are today..............

I'm wondering where my 1976 Sky Blue Pearl Pro Beat (13,14,16,18,24, Supra) kit is? *sniff* It was a freaking huge monster! My parents purchased it for me for $1000 (brand new) my sophomore year in high school.

I still hate myself for selling it a dozen(ish) years ago...

I'm ecstatic that I have returned to the Ludwig fold. Maybe I'll get a Super Classic in BDP and make myself a junior sized version (12,13,14,16,22,Supra)?????????
