Check out the 18" AAX omni or the 20" AAX dark crash.

I have an 18" zildjian edge crash. They sound good, at least for my tastes. And guitar center has them used for around $30 because they are discontinued. Predecessor of the zht series.

that's what I was thinking. Seems a 16'' would be very bright. The trick would be getting use to riding it with the movement.

Sounds exactly like the Sabian AAX-Plosion 18" crash to me.

My current favorite also............................I have an 18" as well, and while decent, it just doesn't sound "right".......................same series, but 2" makes a huge difference in the sound

That's good to know - my 17" A custom projection is a very close second to the Rezo, and I just found a teeny crack on it over the weekend! :( I was thinking of trying a larger Rezo but will probably just get another version of the same one.

Regarding riding the 16 - it's not that difficult, and infact it tends to be the only crash I ride on. I find the felt and nut tension plays a big roll in how well you can ride the rebound.
