    i have a dixon picolo 14 " and my snare wire mist some wire and it sound bad

    i want to change all wire i can buy a 14-20 or a 14-42

    witch one i should buy

    for picalo i would use the smaler unless your going for an extremly wirey sound. i use the others on my standard because it gives it an arena feel but on the picalo theres more wires than drum.
    play till the day i die. it makes more sense that way.

    I agree with funkymcstain the 42 strand on an already crisp an articulate sounding snare which is what picolos are known for, is just overkill. My first thought would be the sound of the drum would be brash or harsh sounding. Let us know what you decide and how it sounds. I would be interested to know what a 42 strand wire would sound like on a picolo
