What are you supposed to play with that set-up? If I ever had a gig like that I would take my e-kit, maybe one of those small practice kits? Geez that's a small "stage", your going to have to get out of there just to change your mind, lol.
Lol that must be in a coffee shop or something?
it was a bar ...max 53 patrons
filled up pritty quick
Played places like that.
btw first live run with the new snare ...pritty darn good
I've played at a restaurant, where the entire band got plugged back into a corner like that. Fortunately I have my 18" kick kit which makes my footprint next to nothing. Good response on one of the two times we played there, lol.
The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
My ears are ringing, looking at that crammed up stage lol
See to get back there You either A jump B come in like a bad guy and break the glass.
Sabian!!!

tapped on mic base for "bassdrum beat effect"
gooseneck on stand for vocals...
another gig used only snare drum, black mambo cowbell,
and bungie cord on headless tamborine over shoe for bassdrum...

Played a ton of places like that throughout my career. You really have to squeeze in there. Ha-ha!
I've played a place like that. My back was right up against the wall, and there was probably like 40cm of space between the kick drum and the edge of the stage. Fun times

I played a gig like that about a year ago. Some people came from the pizza place next door and gave us a tip. That was really cool.
Yep, the New Orleans Café Bar & Grill up in Crow's Nest, Sydney is a small spot...okay, not as small as the one you did...comfortable for a three piece, but a five piece? Lol...the singer, her hubby with the guitar and their keyboard had to end up out on the little strip of pavement outside the café! Me, the bassist and lead guitarist were inside, thankfully. All I had was a snare, bass, one tom, hats and a couple of cymbals and some light percussion. No room for anything else.' And played with rods and brushes, no sticks else it'd be too loud. Six weeks or so doing that.
You win in the postage stamp-size stage stakes though. (jeez, thats a tongue twister!)

I've been on "stages" like that lol.
I've got some old Pearl toms that I'm making into a kit for these places.
13" kick, 12" floor. Hats snare ride.

I've seen stages like that , but I never played on one. I was the type of (well call it what you want) I didn't play any gigs if I could not use my entire set up. It's different now though. Back when I was playing, club bands had shows, big sound systems, lighting rigs, pyro, so most times a gig like that would not have even been suggested. I commend you for doing what it takes to get the job done. Not much to play around with on that kit. I'm thankful I did my playing out in the late 70's though 91.
Def the smallest I've seen.
Not to worry next Sunday back to a big stage with lighting a big pa and a proper full size kit
good thing about playing in a 3pc band is we can pritty much fit anywhere
