That's awesome. Congratulations.
Hi,
well, we played in the final of the battle of the bands, we were up against two other bands, and had to play a 50 min set, well we went for it, and as something different, me and the singer swapped places and I played guitar and sang, and he drummed, well I was nervous because I have never played and sang in front of a crowd, and knew how important it was and didn't want to mess up, but it went well and we ended up runners up and in second place!!
The band that won were awesome, and one of my school teachers was in it! lol! so there were no hard feelings.
I was pleased with myself for facing my nerves, and got to the end of the song!
Here is a clip, you can see the look of relief on my face near the end.

Good Stuff Bridie......multi-talented!
Just amazing. You are very talented. I don't think I would have had the guts to make that switch (even if I could play, lol.)
Congrats, and good luck on those gigs!

WTG Bridie! I agree that after being behind the kit, standing out front makes you feel exposed. I've been there, and I think you did very well. Congrats on doing so well in the Battle.

Congrats on the 2nd place. In a competitive arena that's a brilliant achievement!
Also, I know what it's like to sing and play drums as I do both at the same time.
I also like to get out front occasionally (if bands let me) and know it's hard if you're not used to it so "nice one" on that too!!
Congrats
well done Birdie!
