    Default Handcrafting Drums?

I am interested in making some drums by hand specifically for now a snare drums, the searches I've found have been useful but I'm not confident to start building, currently I'm looking at a Stave construction because it looks "easy", but I've found very little info on doing this has anyone here tried to do this. I'm not looking for a silly toddlers "drum" here I really want to make this sound good. Has anyone attempted to do this or can you point me in the right direction to do this?

I just completed my first stave drum back in September.

Some good sites to check out are Ghost Note forums and Drum Town. (Just google I don't know the rules regarding external links. Also, google "Pdgood" and the first result has all the information you need to get started.

All you need is a table saw and router and you're good to go.

    Good luck.
