Same. I've tried all my life to learn to like beer because it's a cheaper buzz than mix drinks. Can't do it. I just don't like the taste. That said, when I do get a beer, I buy something lite. Not for reasons of calories but because it's less strong in taste.

When I drank beer I liked micro breweries, local breweries, IPA, or wheat beers. I also liked German beer!

However, I abused my privilege to drink a few years back. So no more for me.

Strictly speaking for myself and my tastes, "the darker the better" in terms of type.

Lite beer is just nasty. When I tried my first Guinness, I almost thought I would need a spoon. But after "conditioning" myself to the stouter types, you really can enjoy them and acquire a taste for it.

Sometimes during the conditioning period, popcorn or chips and dip can ease the transition. But once you find you can acquire a taste for a "thicker" beer, you'll begin to appreciate its place in the world.

I'm not an habitual drinker and very seldom have even one beer a week. But when I hit the local pubs, I'll usually ask for something on the stouter side. I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a beer snob but if I'm going to put one down the hatch, it's going to have to have flavor.

I suppose it could be similar to acquiring a taste for coffee. I never have and probably never will. It's not my drink of choice, however I know many people that can't function until they've had their morning brew. Glad I don't have that mind set.

Nothing fancy for me. Mostly Budweiser (red label) but I'll pretty much drink anything in a pinch. Just make sure it's good and cold!

I like most any of them but mostly drink Bud Select for the lesser carbs.

I also like Blue Moon, but only on tap.....no bottles.

And, I prefer cans to bottles.

Favorite? That's tough. I love IPAs. Hoppy-ier the better. Dogfish Head 60 Minute is really good. Local Troegs Perpetual IPA is good.

My "cheap" beer of choice is Sam Adams. I won't buy anything cheaper than that for myself, but I'll drink anything that's free.

If you like hoppy, try Dogfish Head 120. It's like drinking liquid grass.

Me too. Unless it's ice ice cold. Can't handle the aftertaste. Plus if and when I do drink beer, I don't drink enough to cop a buzz. Just enough to cop a headache. Can't handle the impurities. Give me a clear liquor any day.
