Was searching around on youtube today after I heard a cover of Elton John performing Blueberry hill, and I discovered a bootleg recording of Led Zeppelin covering Blueberry hill and thought it was pretty great so I decided to share it and create this thread for everyone to post those unlikely covers of songs by bands you would not think to cover that style or genre.
Robert Plant's range is pretty good here.

Throwdown doing Baby Got Back:
How about the Deftones doing Weezer's "Say It Ain't So."
Mmm... Saturns.
And In Flames doing Genesis as well:
See, I don't think Disturbed are an unlikely choice to cover Land Of Confusion seeing as all those bands like Korn and Disturbed and Marilyn Manson have a trend of covering 80s songs. It's just what they do when they've released enough of their own songs.
It's the reverse of boy/girl "bands" having to release cover songs as their first 6 singles.
I love covers of 80's tunes.
One of my favorite covers of all time: KoRn doing Cameo, "Word Up."

Gun's version's good
Many times, bands do covers of song and artists that were influential in their early lives or careers. Blueberry Hill would be an excellent example of what Elton John and Zeppelin would have been influenced by....along with a ton of other early American rock and Blues. I can't even list all the classic Johnny Cash songs that have been covered by all types of modern rock and punk bands. Johnny Cash even covered some modern rock songs on his last albums. Bob Dylan is another one thats had a ton of stuff covered by all types. Guns-N-Roses got a huge amount of airplay with. " Knockin On Heaven's Door". Then there's also a whole series of "Pickin' On" Bluegrass covers of AC/DC, Zeppelin and other rock bands.

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"
Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
Yes, they do.
That'll be why Roxy Music covered "Jealous Guy" when John Lennon was shot and bands such as Senser from England covered a selection of hip hop tracks (such as L L Cool J's 'Mama Said Knock You Out' and Public Enemy's (She Watch) Channel Zero) for a homage CD)
Including a cover of Nine Inch Nail's 'Hurt' that a lot of people think Cash wrote.Johnny Cash even covered some modern rock songs on his last albums.
I think my All-Time favorite was when I heard the Lawrence Welk Orchestra do a cover of CCR's "Lookin Out My Back Door" on the Lawrence Welk Show, LOL.
