Quit answering calls or texts. Been over a month since my last lesson. And I've only been playing 6 months.

Sorry to hear that PM124. I'm sure it's frustrating. Well, I'm a believer in that things happen for a reason. Maybe these first two guys were not a good fit for you. Keep your chin up and look for another teacher. The next one just might be the one that suits your needs and you just click with him/her.

That's too bad. Very immature on his part. Everybody deserves, at the very least, a reply.
Tell you what, I'll refer the few flakey students amongst my otherwise good ones to your last teacher, and give him a taste of his own medicine, fair exchange, no robbery, how's that sound? I'll be glad to give them a one-way pass outta the country, lol!

So what are you planning to do?
Keep on the path to your dreams. Nothing worth while is easy. Simple maybe but not easy. I agree that he/she acted in a manner that was not professional. Any worthwhile teacher should have the courage and integrity to give you an explanation as to why they may not want to work with you. And even if he/she is not a professional teacher it's just basic- character and integrity.
You have a dream and you are setting goals to reach it. Don't let these bumps in the road deter you. Stay on the road and drive over the bumps. Things happen for a reason. It may not be clear now but when you look back you will appreciate every bump, pot hole, twist and turn!!

Sometimes people just don't gel with their students and vice versa.
But not to give you an explanation or anything is cowardly and unprofessional.
They can't be that enthusiastic as teachers then.
keep on playing. Don't give up, you'll regret it if you do. You'll find a good teacher out there. Where do you live ca. There's got to be tons of drummers out there. Put an ad in local paper or craigslist musician part. you should find someone. I lucked out and found mine on the first try. I was teaching myself for a while slow going so I got a teacher. But not to say you can't learn by yourself. Just look at Rickthedrummer he's amazing and self taught.
It's not you. It's them
You should give my teacherr a shout, he skypes lessons and is the most responsible teacher i have ever seen, been with him about five years now. I think the first lesson is free, what do you have to lose? I guarentee you will like him!

He's pretty fast. How long has he been playing? What are his credentials? He seems like a cool bro, but, is he worth the money you are going to pay him for his time and experience?

I’m only 22 and I’ve been playing for 15 years, so I suppose there is plenty of time for this dude to have obtained experience. Hope it works out for you mate.
If it doesn’t, maybe try find a teacher in a music shop? Sure, it may be an inconvenience to have to go to the shop for lessons, but at least you are dealing with a shop who can chase up (and sack) slack teachers if need be. Downside to that is it could be a bit more expensive and require a larger cash commitment. Just a suggestion if you happen to find yourself without a teacher once again.
All the best mate.
Search for Alex bent in yahoo. He's been playing 9 years. My first teacher was from a music shop. And barely learned anything from him in 2 months. Plus 2 no call no shows in 2 months time.

Your new teacher reminds of Zappa-era Terry Bozzio. Not necessarily the notes, but the body movement, expression and phrenetic movement.
