I still need to find a set of wires for this, 10 inch by 6.5" deep Sassafrass and Cherry snare. Allstar lugs, Cannon Throw, all hardware is powder coated to match.

Also swapped out the die cast hoops on this Copper/Bronze TRS snare for a set of Yamaha hoops a friend gave me. I was not too fond of this snare, but the wood hoops really brought it up to par, sounds nice now, warm and sensitive.

the TRS is a beauty. FAT CAT has 10" wires in 16 and I think 24 strand.

Thanks, never heard of Fatcat. I am told Puresound makes 10" wires, even though first try at the local music store, could not find anything, but I can't see sourcing them being that big of a problem.

If my local music store drum guy can find 16" wires, I'm sure you can find 10". Little snares are all the rage these days. Good luck,'
Both snares look absolutely beautiful, btw. Love the wood hoops, a lot.

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

They were a gift from my pal Vito Rezza. Yamaha hoops are mega expensive, but I now think they produce a superior sound than a solid wood alternative like Gibraltars. But still, I don't picture myself dropping 2 bills on a set.

Music stores just don't seem to carry enough selection in accessories like snare wires for my tastes. In this day and age, the internet is where the real selection is. Try musician's friend, or Sam Ash

    Zildjian laminate sticks
    LOTS of snares

I have a PorkPie popcorn snare. I wonder if they list anything in their website.
