Bass guitar for me... played that before drums for a long time.
I know there used to be a guitar thread, but I couldn't find one for all other instruments. Show if you play the piano, trumpet...keytar...this thread is the place! Most drummers I know play at least one other instrument. Usually guitar, and that's me as well, but I think it would be cool to see how multi-talented everyone is here at DC.

Had to find it...
1987 Ampeg SVT Limited Edition... only 500 made, and I am the original owner.
I recently got it re-tubed and re-cap'd. I took this pic with the intent of selling it because I haven't played this amp in a long time. But after playing it again, I had a change of heart... it just sounds too amazing for me to part with it.

Piano. I can play bass a little too. I used to play a lot years ago, but haven't touched one in a long time.
Both my brothers are guitar player (one is really, REALLY good). HE tried to teach me. Couldn't stretch my fingers properly. Gave up.

I play a tiny bit of guitar too. And a bit of bass. I recently have been doing a few acoustic shows playing bass, so I picked up an acoustic bass and a little Orange amp...just big enough for playing at home and doing small acoustic shows. I really love this little amp, sounds pretty great for the money.

Used to be blondes, but I did dabble in brunettes for a while.
I remember back in High School, I was working at the local Elk's club washing dishes. They would have "old folks" dance bands on Saturday nights. One night, I watched a 3pc band that did the usual '50's Doo-wap music. In the middle of a guitar solo, the guitar player walked over to the drummer and stood right beside the hi-hat. The drummer turned to him and began striking the guitar strings with his sticks while the guitar player still held the guitar and fingered the frets. Kinda cheesy....but it was unique, and I still remember it 25 years later, LOL.

Some bits and pieces on piano and keyboards, and I've been learning and playing marimba, vibraphone and other tuned percussion instruments for a while now. I'd say my keyboard theory's fairly strong these days. Plus there are all the other hand drums and ethnic percussion that I'm immersed in or just dabbling with....Latin percussion, doumbek and other Middle Eastern drums, tablas, bodhran and so on.

May this be the best day you ever had and the worst you ever will. Trinity House Mudslinger.
I can only play drums. Well, I can sing in key, but I am by no means a singer.

I play acoustic guitar and 6-string Banjo (same as a guitar). Nothing fancy, just first position cords and some very basic finger picking. Occasionally, I play guitar or 6-string banjo instead of drums on some of the Bluegrass songs we do....Seems to fit better in Bluegrass anyway. If I get a few beers in me, I'll sometimes play the banjo, bass drum and hi-hat at the same time.

Yep...got a cheap keyboard that I can't play either. I still remember a lot of stuff from playing xylophone and marimba, but doing the bass notes with one and melody lines with the other ain't happenin. Lol
Nice bass!
X, you may not know this about me, but I'm Myles Kennedy...in my truck lol. Ever considered getting some lessons and taking your singing to performing status? My first drum set teacher was a really interesting guy. He a had a prosthetic leg from the right knee down. But man, he would strap that thing on and play like nothing was different...he was also the lead singer for his band...something to think about I guess if its something that interests you.
But I bet the other musicians you gig with love you for it. But seriously, like we don't have enough to drag around already?

I'm decent on rhythm guitar, and can play basic bass. I haven't been really motivated to play string instruments since getting back into drums a few years ago.
I have a Jackson Pro Dinky electric guitar with a Peavey 5150 combo amp, an Ibanez SoundGear 4-string bass with Peavey VB2 and 2x10 + 1x15 cabs as well as an acoustic Ibanez guitar.
