Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
Love Animal, but he was never a Sesame Street character.
I like the idea of having the drummer on a chain. That could be a good image at a live show.

Sorry guys, it's neither Ronnie Verrell (who usually did Animal's drum parts up until he unfortunately passed away), nor is it Neil Peart. The drum track I believe has been taken from Mike Portnoy's drum solo when Dream Theater played at the Budokan, Japan, some time very late 90's. I myself did think it was Peart at first, but there was something different....and then I remembered I had a copy of this Dream Theater performance someone did for me years ago.....the announcement at the beginning's the same, plus when the other instruments come in at the end. Just that version on Animal's video is a bit clipped and edited.
Here's a comparison:

So.... did any of you see "Muppets Most Wanted" movie when it came out? I heard Tina Fey was in it.
I sure don't mean to bash on a fellow co-worker but Animal's timing was not all that.
Not to mention he was always late for practice and the girls he brought to practice
when he did remembered to show up was not anyone you'd wanna take home to mom.
And all them pills he took for back pain? He didn't have any back pain and watch your wallet.

Animal is awesome!
clever
Sabian!!!
Watched it last Friday. It's quite entertaining, what's really crazy is how many famous people have one line roles. Ok, 50m is a big budget, but still:

I maybe wouldn't pay money to see it, but yea, it's worth a look
Yamaha DTX 500 module
Anatolian Kappadokia 14" Rock High Hats
Sabian El Sabor 20" Ride
Zildjian A 18" Crash Ride
Istanbul Agop 16" Trash Hit
1950's Zildjian 14" Splash/light crash
Istanbul 8" Splash (pre 1997)
Mapex Black Panther Steel Piccolo
1965 Premier 3 piece 10, 16, 22
50 million.... wow! I guess you have to pay all those famous people, not to mention royalties to the owner of the Muppets, whoever that is.
