Looks good. I would go with emporers though, not pinstripes.

Ahhh, howabout Evans? The G1 & G2's are excellent and I am a huge fan of the Emad's for a bass batter. Just a thought!

I've got a set of 13" ZBT hats that I LOVE. Not sure how the 14's sound tho.

Sweet choice going for a fusion kit as well, those things sing when they're tight.

I love ZBTs, I honestly dont understand what everyone's problem with them is, they sound fantastic.

I'm a little late on this subject but I'll comment anyways. I'd upgrade your ZBT's to a higher level as well. I hate roto toms (to me they sound cheap on most applications). I'd agree with Drummer on the Emporers, I use coated myself. As far as Evans go, I'm not too familiar with them. I've only used them on one go round on an older kit. It was their Hydraulic Oil filled ones(meant for the studio and I didn't know it at the time). I'm sure Stix knows what he's talking about on them. Blessings........

How many higher end cymbals do you or have you owned? Once you have some good ones you won't go back....at least I didn't. I've posted this before but I'd rather have used higher end cymbals than brand new mid to lower ones. Blessings......

Revisiting this thread, Axis Longboards don't seem like a preferred product anymore. When they first became popular, everyone wanted them... That was until they started breaking on their original owners who sooner or later realized that they were pathetic. I would go for a nice set of Iron Cobras or Eliminators to stick with Pearl.

Why restrict yourself? There are lots of great cymbals made by other companies. I love mixing cymbals, getting lots of different sounds is good

Yeah, I'd at least buy a Birch kit. And the Mapex kits are a little cheaper than others with the same quality.

You guys are a little late to comment on my plan from last year, I already have half of it.

As some of you know I got a discontinued model of ELX Export Fusion, fantastic quality for its price range, much better than other Exports or other ELX kits.

I have Emperors on all toms, Pinstripe on the snare and Powerstroke 3 on the bass.

I still have my ZBTs, I still don't have a problem with them, the china works great for me, I can use it for rhythm or accents and get 3 or 4 different sounds out of it unlike other low end chinas like the wuhan one which only sounds one way. And I've been focusing my money on amplification.

Which, by the way, I use Shure SM57 mics, and a Roland kick trigger with the Alesis DM5 module.

Now you know the present day.

if ur keeping the ziljians, then i would get a ziljian zbt, or even better an A custom 18in crash instead of the paiste
being a succesful musician has nothing to do with being signed, popular or making alot of money. It has to do with making great music.
