    Looks like a clip on external muffler to me, Dom. I've a couple of them with a very similar rectangular shape and size.

    its a Drumlife Leatherworks dx700 muffling and currency transportation device. Looks like its probably the x-3 model circa 2011.

    I never have any cash, so instead of using my wallet to muffle my drums, I once tried using my check book.........turns out, my checks bounced. (Ba-da-BING!)

    I'm pretty sure it is the Gibraltar External Tone Control Muffler.

    I have one and used it recently at the Christmas gig.....................needed to tame the snare down a bit.
