It's a carburetor for a Chicken 200 drum kit. Very valuable, they don't make em anymore.

If I had to guess, it wouldn't be part of a drum set. Although I've never seen anything like it, it may be part of a dampening system off of something like tubular bells or possibly a marimba.

I should mention that it is missing one leg. I didn't know that, but it's suppose to have two legs. Here is a close up of how it should be with both legs.

Don't know if it's missing anything else.... pretty sure it's not.

I agree. Looks like someone at Remo was smoking something when they made it.

I typed in "Remo vintage hardware" in a mad search to find out what the heck that stand is but came up empty but I did find a really nice Roto double bass kit. This is when a drum rack makes a kit look really cool.

Ok..here's reaching out in "leftfield". I'm calling this thing "The Remo Pedal Activated Roto Tom Adjuster. Instead of having to move the Roto tom by hand to change the angle, you pump the pedal and the lever rotates the tom up towards you so you're hands are free from having to make that adjustment???

I tried several Google searches and the most promising was a response from Archivedrumgear.uuh.

The response was WTH is that?

    Not much help, IMHO.
