Default Experimenting with rudiments for drum solo

Since I'm on a 2 week vacation here at home. I thought I would get some drumming time in. Right now I am just experimenting with rudiments for my next drum solo. If I can play at the talent show next year I want to impress the judges with a few rudiments in my solo. Something like some paradiddles, flam taps, ruffs, and double stroke roll to end it with. I am also working on doing a drum cover video at a recording studio later this year. Working the rudiments in the drum solo is a lot of fun. At the talent show one of the judges is from the music department at a university. Well that's all for now will keep you all posted.

    Keep drumming

I would think that which rudiments you choose depends upon the drumming knowledge of the judges. Some rudiments are less flashy than others and, though we know you're doing something cool, not everyone would.
Life's too short to play the same solo twice. Improvise!
