    Default VicKick Beaters

so i just tried out this new vickick beat

at first when i saw the slogan "for unbeatable sound" ...i thought ..."big claim"

but i gave it a shot anyway

omg i was surprised how good this beater is ....it was instantly fatter compared to the trusty double sided DW beater iv been using for the last 10 or so years.

this thing is bang for buck brilliance

    Thanks for sharing this.

One of my favorite beaters I've ever used was one of those acrylic balls.

I'd thought about picking one up if I can find one for next to nothing.

Never used a wood beater. Out of curiosity, what kind of sound do they have? Clicky? Slappy? Other?

So, were you using the plastic or felt side of the DW beater before switching to this?

I just picked up a Puresound Speed Ball with a plastic beater. Seems incredibly responsive while retaining full tone.

I really hope I like it as much as you seem to like this one.

those look pretty nice. I switched out the stock ones on my IC with Yamaha wood beaters. Do they say what kind of wood they are? I like a little weight in beaters and seem to get that with the Yammy ones and volume.

I started using these Sonor beaters a while back. I use the plastic side. They are light and quick , yet powerful. Those wooden Vic beaters sounded great.

The video posted earlier states that the wood beaters are fashioned from hard maple.
