The Eagles
Def Leppard
I have been getting into a lot of classic rock bands of late, ones that I might not have been that interested in 40 years ago, but have now recognized the amazing beauty (or uniqueness) of voices in harmony. I'll give you a list of those bands I think were at the top of this list, and wonder if any of you have others you'd add:
Queen
Fleetwood Mac
Crosby, Stills and Nash
Chicago (some might disagree with this one)
The Beach Boys
Now, just a tiny bit less than an absolute drum newbie
DW Collectors Cherry kit, Ludwig Black Beauty Snare, DW SuperSolid Oak/Cherry Snare, DW Sabian Vault Edge Snare
The Eagles
Def Leppard
I go back to my youth and think of The Crystals, Jay and the Americans. The Beach Boys are a given.
Someone asked me when I retired what it would take to get me back playing. I told them that if they could find me a singer like Steve Perry or Ann Wilson, we would talk.
Eagles
Beach Boys
Should at least include these guys:
Yes:
Toto:
"...it's the Paradigm Of The Cosmos!" Stewart Copeland on Youtube
668: The Number Of The Guy Next Door To The Beast.
"A random act of kindness; it keeps my heart in shape!" - Late8
The Beatles
The BEATLES were amazing.
Give this a listen. Just vocal tracks.

"We don't stop playing because we grow old.
We grow old because we stop playing."
"I wish that my playing reminded people of Steve Gadd. But they seem to confuse me with his little known cousin... E."
"Snare drums happen."
I liked a lot of what the Bee Gee's did. I just didn't realize you had to be a man's man to admit it.
I liked Heart, so I guess it makes me a feminist.
Thanks, guys. A bunch of bands/groups I had forgotten about or hadn't thought of... Of those, the one that I'd have to add to my list would be the Mama's and the Papa's, John Phillips' personal issues/habits notwithstanding... Incredible vocals.
