Default John Bonham's last ever gig

7th July 1980, Led Zeppelin played their last-ever concert when they appeared at Eissporthalle, West Berlin at the end of a European tour. The set included: 'Black Dog', 'The Rain Song', 'Hot Dog', 'All My Love', 'Trampled Under Foot', 'Since I’ve Been Loving You', 'Kashmir', 'Stairway To Heaven' and 'Rock And Roll'. They finished the show with a 17-minute version of 'Whole Lotta Love'. This was Bonham's last ever gig.

    Best rock drummer ever?

Of course it's a matter of opinion but if you don't agree he is the best rock drummer ever you are in the minority. Just sayin

Awesome? Yes. And you're right, I don't think he was the best either even though I worshipped Led Zep.

Like all things, it's very subjective. Bonham was the reason I started drumming. Saw Zep back in 1975 and thought they were the greatest band ever.

We'll just all have to agree to disagree.

Like most other things, opinions on best will always vary. What can't be argued is that John Bonham is right up there with the best, and he was perfect for Led Zeppelin.

I'd put him in the top 5.

You have to separate the myth from what he actually did.

Oh I do that and I still have him #1, adding the myth just makes it more fun

I agree, Bonham was a great drummer but the best rock drummer not too sure cause there are too many to really say who was the best. Each era had it's drummer who were considered the best till the next one came along. So many, so many. So to me they are all the best.

I'm not touching this 1 anymore.

I'm waiting for someone to pop up and say Ringo.
