    Default Td-6KX E-Drum

    Hey all,

I’ve been thinking about buying the Td-6KX e-drum.
After doing some research I believe this isn’t a to bad of a choice to make.
Ofcours I wouldn’t dare to make a decision without having consulted my fellow brothers (and sis’s) in arms.
Anything, espacially personal experience on the kit including the module or with Roland V-drums would be most welcome.
The cost of this electrical baby is around 1700 euro’s.

    Always grateful and eternally yours,

    Upxl

They're great, go for it if you're willing to spend that much. I played one at an old studio in Annapolis and it's got awesome performance. Personally, I like more pieces, a real set, and double kick, but if it's what you want then definately go for it. The volume control is good for neighborhood playing, and you can take it to your mothers for the holidays ^.^

the double bass remark brings me to another question; would it be compatible with a double kick, say I wanna buy one in the future?

Urrmmm, I know that the brain on the thing has an input for another kick. Electronic drums are difficult with double kick sometimes. The only one's I've seen that worked great with it were the TD-20's, but that's not that great for an extra $4000.
All you'd have to do was buy the wires and whatnot necessary for inputting it to the module, and buy another kick pad with a pedal. There have been complaints though of lag during fast double kick use or that a quick double would sound like a weird single.

Go for it, buying anything Roland makes is an excellent choice. I have the Roland HD-1 Lite and I'm having a blast........

I like how the amp is facing right toward you from underneath, pretty cool.

I have to give kudos on the amp too. I wish my e-kit was a roland... I'd never even heard of the brand before. My wife bought it for my birthday, and though I love her, the drums are more effective when turned off. The brand... if anyone is wondering, is Lloyd Audio... ever heard of it?

She sure is a looker 2slow,

Tell me, how is that VH-11 hi-hat working for you?

The VH-11 hats e-hats are way way better than Roland's first hat design for the earlier TD's, another rubber pad placed next to the snare. Their responce is better, and much more precise.

works good have to get use to playing it. You have to play it a little ahead to get that closed to open right it's not bad though.

Im going straight for a TD 20. I would reccomend that or a td 12. I dont see the point of any other electric drum kits. I dont see them as at all simular or maybe even any good(Even tho i have never tried one other than the TD series)

Still i’ve you have to play ahead...
For me it would mess up my rhythm i think.
wasn't planning on bying the h-11 anyways.

I asked the clerk of a local shop about the double bass.
He said it shouldn’t pose any problems so I decided to throw it in the package.
Their go my savings but it’s worth the money I’m sure.
Thank you all for the help.
