Cool stuff lefty!! What size stick do you use? 5A??
Here are some clips of triple and Dbl stroke rolls and ride patterns. It's not great, I'm just learning how to play these. I couldn't figure out how to string these clips all together on 1 video. So they are separate.

Nice stuff! I really like the zoomed in camera angles to really see what you're doing. The triple stroke roll on the snare video was very impressive. Thanks for sharing these...I want to try some of these licks now!
Those are 5A generic sticks. I've been using those for woodshedding. LOL. I've been using VF 8D nylon tip with my band. I like AJ 2's the best but they don't come in nylon, and the wood tips wear out too fast to justify the price. I got a big bag of these no name sticks for 10 dollars or so. They're great for when I'm working on my feet and just whacking out 1/4 notes on the hats, chipping away the shaft of the stick. Thanks for watching.
I'm just learning these myself. It's crazy that I've been playing so many yrs. and don't know how to play these things. I've played in some good bands, and considered by some to be a good drummer. I just never learned this stuff. Everything was single strokes for me. I'm excited. Thanks for watching.
One thing I would recommend is developing your finger technique to squeeze those multiple strokes out. It looks like you are largely relying on the bounce by releasing your fingers. This will often result in less than even sounding strokes. Start with doubles then move to threes and fours. Start slow and get the trailing notes to sound the same as the initial stroke.
Xsaber That's what I've been doing, as I pick up tempo I squeeze more. I started out without any squeeze, just open, bounce, and close. I think I'm on the right track. I'm sure it'll be getting better as I do it more. Thank you.
Great ideas there! I think I might have to steal your beat with the triple stroke on the snare sometime
on a side note...is that a sabian aax omni ride you're using? Sounds amazing!
