So how do you play that thing?
So how do you play that thing?
That is really cool - loved their show as well. You should post a video of you playing it. I am very interested in the sound and what the pedals do?
Very nice.

Wow, wow, wow....Peter you are amazing! I wish a TV producer here in the U.S could see and use your talents for some kind of TV documentary. Your talents and skills could be a TV mini series in itself. Bravo
Amazing work on this. I can see you put in some serious thought and planning towards the project, and I must say it all paid off because this appears to be well executed and fully functional. Always like seeing do it yourself projects from the ground up, shows what we can accomplish. I look forward to seeing any future designs from you.

Great job on Divo's Whip it if that is what you are playing lol. Very interesting instrument and you did a darn good job at making it Congrats.
That is really cool! Soundwise it reminds me of some of the tuned wooden log / slit drums.

I built some of these a few years ago out of ABS pipe that I covered with contact paper.. I did 2 octaves that were set up just like a piano keyboard that I built a wood frame for. I did the bottom a lot different though. I pounded plugs down into them until they were at the note that I wanted, then poured sand in from the bottom, then plugged that so they would have some weight and not move. It sounds like you are getting a lot more volume than I did. I glued soft rubber padding to some old hairbrush handles to use as mallets. I ended up selling it for about $400. I think I only had about $80 into it if I remember. I just might make another one of these. It was a lot of fun to play.
