Default DW 2000 Double Bass Pedals

Picked these up last week for a steal on Gumtree. Entry level DW Double Bass Pedals with very mixed reviews online, but for the price I got them at when compared to retail; I got a fantastic deal.

They're in excellent, and almost new condition. Very happy TBH.

What's entry level about these? They look like pretty heavy duty pedals to me. Is that a baked enamel finish?

That speaks quite well about the durability, and reliability of the model(I had no idea the 5000's were around that long). Do you notice any immediate differences between the two?

Wasn't there a time not so long ago where DW was thinking on having the 2000 series replace the 5000's? Or was that something to do with the 7000 series? I seem to remember something along these lines. Nice pedals by the way. They look brand new. Should last you a long time.

    Yep, you are correct wolvie.

3000 Series/2000 Series - DW's budget-priced lines of pedals. These pedals are rebadged versions of DW's discontinued pedals; in this case, the 7000 Series and the 4000 Series, respectively.

I purchased a used set of DW 7000 Dbl pedals and used them for several years before selling them. They were a decent pedal for the price.

EyePea, if the 2000's are anything like the 7000's (not familiar with the 4000's), you will be pleased IMO. Congrats and enjoy!

I think the 8k series may have been slated to surpass 5k's. Idk. I love my 5k. I kinda wanna buy one of those maglev pedals. But 400 bones for a concept...

@OP. DW makes good stuff at all price points. Hard to go wrong. 10/10 would play those pedals.

Not sure about baked enamel; could be. I'm no expert on it. The finish is does look like some thought has gone into it.

I haven't even cleaned them since I open the carton they came. I took the photos above, straight out of the box I received them in. I'll give them a once-over shortly.

I've seen everything I can about them. I heard a new version came out. I hope they plan on making a double pedal!
