"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

It appears that, contrary to the popular myth, drummers are loyal. Or...maybe it has more to do with the general personality of DC members.

We have something.
The ladies seem to like to marry us just so they can have the fun of divorcing us and see how much money we have.
I'm probably the only guy that got married, got to where the honeymoon was supposed to take place, have a wife, that after 6 hours of "wedded bliss' isn't talking to me, so I fix myself a drink and turn on the TV, and there in glorious color, was........................ "THE DATING GAME".
Somewhere in there, I missed my calling.
37 years married and 3 years dating before so been together 40 years OMG that is a long time and looking forward to more. Wonder how she put with me all these years must be love or someone to hang out with.
12 years, but like MartyM, we dated for 6 years before we got married, so we've been together for 18 years. I am coming up to that point where he has been a part of me for more than half my life. We started dating a few days after he turned 19, so he had to grow up a little
Me, being the older woman was ready about 2 years in.
"Well-behaved women rarely make history."
-Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, 1976
I think that a very important thing has been left unsaid here:
These women deserve medals for putting up with us for all of these long lasting marriages (Blue Sky's hubby included). I know mine sure as h*ll does.
Both my marriages were great as long as I wasn't home to participate in them.
Actually wife #1 was a good girl, we were just too young to be married. When I extended out for a 2nd tour, that pretty much doomed that marriage.
Wife #2 was a totally different story. She was the 5th horseman.
John didn't write about her in Revelations because she was out shopping for a hundred years.
So you have the 4 Horseman and 1 Horsewoman of the Apocalypse:
Conquest
War
Famine
Death
(and) Make you nuts by any means possible
Somehow, she has managed to stay married for the last 25 years or so. I figure the guy is:
1) Totally whipped
2) Totally deaf
3) Totally stoned
4) Dead on the couch for the last 15 years and she doesn't know it because she hasn't shut up
Starting dating 21 years ago...............married 17.................needless to say, she is a patient woman.......................man, time flies
Married 24 years last month.

RIP Frank.............thanks for being part of my journey
Second time around for both of us...but Mrs. 'bro and I both had the stars knocked out of our eyes from our first marriages. We knew what we wanted, and learned from our mistakes!
Actually, I did things backwards...we got married June 16, 1984, and on December 1, 1984, I took my first of more than 23 years of drum lessons from my long-time drum teacher and friend. (In fact, I was the longest continuous student he ever had!)
More than 30 years, two daughters and four grandchildren later, I think I'm in it for the long haul!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!
