Awesome paint job! At first, I thought that roll of tape was one of those tom batter FX KickPorts.

Here is my Ludwig Club Date SE silver sparkle. 12-14-20 with matching snare. I installed a bass drum mounted cymbal holder.

This is a 1964 Leedy kit that I often call on for this configuration.

Nice setup! I wouldn't have thought to use a dogbone on an L arm.

Nice kit! Definitely unique! Do you happen to have a picture of the inside of the snare? I've seen some snares in that shape but the inside looks fragile. Is the inside of the shell just round?

Honestly, the Whitney drums do feel fragile to me. The outer shells are only 1/8" 3-ply birch. I've had the kit less than a year and I never play hard rock.

Here's a picture of a comparable shamrock snare (a 14"; mine's 13"). As you can see, the inside walls of the shell are contoured. Whitney's older design has only two sides indented to accommodate the strainer and butt plate. The snare is the only drum in the kit with the reinforcing vertical dowels.

I would be worried about tighter snare heads. It looks like the bearing edge would eventually collapse into the shell
