oh damn why didnt i think of that!
Too Much Stuff.
If anyone could have have an objective decision, it would be Micheal, who is not brand prejudiced and owns more snares than most rock stars.

You enjoy collecting? Really? I would have never guessed.
And yes it was meant as a compliment, most recommend snares based on what they own, and that is a small selection for most people, so usually is a limited biased opinion. However, from what I can tell, you own a little bit of everything and I would think you could not possibly be brand prejudiced.

Based on the snares that you have listed in your signature, a 5.5 inch solid shell snare might be a good option as it looks like you already have two 6 inch plywood snares. Do you plan on using this snare for gigging?
I have heard and read that the Craviotto is a nice drum but I do not own one. I do own a 5.5 inch Radio King and if you happen to like the vintage sound, this might be an option.

What is your budget? There are a massive number of snares out there to choose from.
My personal choice would be a custom, one-of-a-kind by ADD. Alan is a master craftsman and a drummer as well. And, his drums are really reasonably priced for hand made instruments. Some day I will own one.

Proudly playing:
Doc Sweeney Drums
A bunch of snares
A bunch of cymbals
Off-Set double pedals
I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!
Both of these are maple with walnut re-rings.
MAPEX BLACK PANTHER BLASTER
MAPEX BLACK PANTHER ELMWOOD
Yes. I won the pair in a contest, if you can believe it. The Elmwood was the same snare Gregg Bissonette used to play when he was with Mapex.
I love my Pork Pie snare. It's a 13" x 5" in turquoise sparkle. I don't have a close-up, but it matches my kit.

I no longer own the Mapex Saturn snare in the picture above. But I recently bought a Mapex Black Panther Venom snare.
