Hey, just making an OOTC. ISTM that this whole internet abbreviation is kind of weird, IAGW, but sometimes IBALD and I just have to say HOAS! Looking at all these abbreviations can make me feel ED, and I feel like CRBT if I don't get it! BTAIM, though, before I cry out AWGTHTGTTA, since I really don't want to be APITN, maybe I'll just learn one important abbreviation: WDTM.

BTW, YKYBHTLW you have followed this whole post without having to use DC's link as a decyphering tool!

I hate internet abreviations. If you're unwilling to type out what you're trying to say, perhaps it's not worth saying. I understand using some sort of internet vernacular to convey some sort of emotion like "lol." One same point, I think "ROFL" is acceptable, but for the most part, internet abreviations are just sheer laziness on the part of the writer, and a source of frustration for those of us not proficient in internet lingo. If you just don't type fast enough... trust me, if you type it out more often, you're speed will increase. I used to type 40 some words per minute, but after a few months of using AOL instant messenger and Yahoo Messenger, My speed shot up to over 80 words per minute. Save IDK, NW, WB, etc for texting on a 12 button cell phone. Ok... if you got this far, thx for the patience... that was a fun little rant, but for real, I don't care. I'm just really bored.
Thats the way, uh huh, uh huh, I like it.

The Marines have come up with their own abbreviation lingo. It uses the phonetic (sp?) alphabet. Like... Bravo, Tango, Whiskey- By the way
Yankee, Delta, India -You Do It
I'd put more lingo on here but I don't any other phrases that are rated G

And I can't believe my dad is using inter-lingo. And with gusto no less. Bravo

no-one uses most of these... being a teen i would know

well, in the UK that is
crazydrummer: Metal sounds like someone is rampaging through a pig pen with a machine gun....

Shazane: They are firing that machine gun at a perfect 380 BPM in 7/8, while the agonized screams of the pigs are flawlessly harmonizing arpeggios at 20 notes per second.
