Those were great weasel. Loved the tribal one. Thanks for putting them up here.

Heya guys, here's some drum cam footage of me playing some songs from a gig last night. There are two drummers in the band, and we both switch between drums & percussion depending on the song, but here are the songs I play drums on. The first video is our original song Tribal Dracula aka Close Your Eyes:
The next one is our version of The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby:
Doobie Bros, Long Train Running. This song was to close the set:
But then we pulled this song out which we haven't played in a little while for an encore. The Meter's version of Come Together:

Great band, and great playing! I played Long train Running in my first band, back when I was a teen, and it was killing me that you were not going to the ride cymbal after each verse! I find people don't use the ride enough today!
Nice grooving ... thanks for posting ...
that is a nice bright hihat. What are you using
Cheers guys.
Yeah the ride will probably sound better in certain sections. I'll keep that in mind the next time we play it.
Yeah they're really nice. This was a gig we did at a local bar to finish off our music course, so I'm borrowing the school's cymbals and drums. The cymbals are:
10" Meinl Byzance Traditional Splash (mine)
14" Sabian HHX Click Hats
16" Zildjian K Custom Dark Crash
16" Zildjian A Custom China
17" Sabian HHX Legacy Crash
20" Zildjian K Constantinople Medium Ride
The drums are Tama Superstars - 12, 16, 22, 14x5.5
- Zack
Pretty cool! Thanks for sharing.
Great job, those hats do sound very nice, but I think part of that that may be your playing as well nice and articulate. I agree with going to the ride on Long train but it still works very well the way you did it. That tribal song was very cool too.

Decide whether this is love for the craft or simply an ego thing
http://www.redskymary.com/ NOT MY BAND, JUST A GREAT LOCAL BAND WHO SHOULD BE SOOO MUCH BIGGER IMO
Love how the tribal beat becomes a sort of shuffle in the first one. Nice.
My son (bass) and I play all three of the other songs with guitar friends that come to open jams that I host. So cool to hear another band do them slightly different. Esp the Beatles song. We tend to rock that one really hard and take it up a notch in tempo, too.
All in all, you played very well. Tight with the band and steady meter; name of the game, man.
Totally agree on the ride/bell for the chorus of Long Train, btw. Almost every late 70's-80's song requires hats on the verse and ride on the chorus. That was the formula then. Releases a little of the tension when you switch. Adds a little excitement to the chorus, too.
Just one old fart's opinion.
Thanks for sharing.
Proudly playing:
Doc Sweeney Drums
A bunch of snares
A bunch of cymbals
Off-Set double pedals
I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!
Nice playing
Nice job brother.
On the original recording, I don't hear ride until the outro...
Great job on all of them!
Nice, nice tunes and good playing. Like that first one much.
