The best gift I'm getting this year is coming tomorrow---when I give my grandson his first kit at his birthday party---we are using a bull**** excuse to get him out of the house while I set them up in his room, and keeping everyone out until the end of the party---I can't wait to see the look on his face

The usual. I have no idea.

It probably happened 6 days ago, and being my short term memory is done at 4 days, I doubt I'll ever know.

Possibly. How big was the lump of coal.

Small lump and a couple of "Hail Marys" should do it.

Big lump and it will take a few Novenas to St Jude and a trip to Lourdes.

I have rule with my family, nobody buys me drum gear, this year they actually followed it. About 3 years ago somebody bought me a used Stagg Crash/ride for $20 and I hated it the only thing I liked was the cymbal bag it came in, it did get better though, when I traded it in for my Sabian ride. then last year somebody bought me 20 pairs of drumsticks for $5, I broke all of them in a month and I had several splinters in my hand to prove it wasn't my technique.

I got a couple gift cards and some cash from my folks. Added it to some cash I had burning a hole in my pocket.

So.. I went a bought a new mixer to use in my drum room. When I opened up the box I noticed that the power adapter looked as it had been used. It wasn't "wound up" properly and looked as if someone had just stuffed it in the box. (you know how they're wrapped so perfectly?). The rack mounting hardware was missing too.

    I had doubts instantly.

Once I got everything in my studio unwired from the old mixer, I hooked up the new one.

Everything seemed ok until I began sound checking. Didn't take long to figure it out - - Channel one is dead.

Looks as if this may have been previously returned and they sold it to me new. I'm as irritated as a midget with a yo-yo.
