The sabian paragon diamondback china has 4 jingles in it. I got a chance to play it and it sounds amazing with them.
So I was thinking of getting a small china, or maybe a bell, and installing jingles in it instead of rivets. Examples would be the Meinl Filter China w/ jingles, or the Factory Metal celtic bells.
So question, has anyone tried this before? What sort of jingles work the best for adding to cymbals?
Any idea what sort of jingles they are or how they're installed? I'd imagine the jingles would have to be a little more loose than rivets to resonate more, but I've never seen any of these cymbals in person let alone played them.
