What I do is announce to the crowd before I start playing - let them know to write their names on their underwear before they throw them at me (hopefully it's just women, but you never know). That way, at the end of the night I can pair up the underpants with the ladies who tossed 'em.

Must be a struggle to read someone's name on a pair of Depends...

My biggest faux pas is I forget to interact with the crowd. I often stare at my one of my feet or just look down. Very stoic facial expressions. I make Neal Peart seem downright effervescent...

I think I am going to write "Smile, Jerkface!" on my snare batter...

This thread IS a bit therapeutic, isn't it? Now, how can we address my procrastination, OCD, depression, guilt complex, transference, lack of focus, juvenile personality . . . .

Brilliant! That way you can pre-screen the applicants based on size, style & cleanliness!

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

I am certainly prone to zone out, however, I feel proud when playing 7/4 and zoning out but staying in time.

Even concentrating intensely......I don't think 7/4 would ever work "naturally" for me

I drop my sticks way too often. Sometimes the stick gets caught between the ride and the floor tom and just flops out of my hand. Other times I completely miss a crash cymbal and the stick goes flying. To be fair though, I am very close to being legally blind so I have a valid excuse haha

I throw my sticks from the riser at the sound guy when my monitor isn't right. Stick em right in the wall behind him like daggers. Then later on I'll apologize and let him buy me a beer

This is how you know whether or not the drum riser is level, by what side of his mouth the drummer is drooling out of.

I procrastinate on tuning quite often, it's probably been about 4 months since I've tuned and I need too since we've lost power and heat 3 times this winter, my kit sounds terrible right now but I hate how much time it takes to tune.

During my playing days, I didn't throw enough sticks at guitar players.

    That counts..................right???
