can you do a buzz roll or drum roll just as easy on a dry snare then on a resonate snare? because i was thinking of buying a snare dampener but i dont want it to take away the sound of my drum rolls

You can buzz roll on anything. Dampening the sound will only make it more defined, so you'll have to be precise with your playing.

tghats what i thought, the rolls will have to be more controlled and tight when its dry.

Haha yea. If you try and do a double stroke roll really fast on a table on some surface like that, it starts to sound get. I guess it's because theres more structure to a stroke roll rather than a buzz roll.
