Woo hoo! I've seen them live three times. I've never much cared for Geddy's singing live, but the shows I've been to have been awesome! Man, gotta wait until July 23rd and drive over two hours each way. Oh well, it's worth it!
Well I doubt it will be the last time, but I will be there.
Are you sure it won't be their last tour? I mean come on, Alex and Ged are both 61 and Neil is 62. They've been around since 1968 as a band! Although, they have made some fantastic music and have been just an awesome band, isn't it time to say enough is enough and enjoy the millions they have all surely made?
Working is great and all, but ya gotta enjoy life too.
(Ya, I hope it won't be their last tour too. Wouldn't it be fun to sit down with these guys and have a beer?)

Paul and Ringo are 72 and 74 and there still going.

I think I'm gonna pass on this one. Rush is one of my favorite bands, but when I saw them on the Clockwork Angels tour Geddy sounded absolutely awful. I will always love Rush but I'm not going to pay hundreds of $ to hear them butcher their own songs.
Matt
I probably would have gotten into Rush more if they would have taken on a regular lead singer like Queen, Yes, etc...
all the best...
Can't wait. They're coming to Austin. Really hoping I get to see them again.

What? Why do I come on these sites? They are not good for me! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I sure would like to know which songs they butchered. I have been the last 5 years and they sound amazing. Geddy struggles with some of the higher stuff, but for 60, he is far from butchering. Musically they are still tight as ever! They are still the classiest band ever! Whatever, I am going to watch TV!
Okay, to be fair, butchering was probably too strong of a word. But he was definitely struggling with a lot of the older material and it really did not sound good. Their second set was almost entirely from the newest album though, and that sounded fantastic since it's actually in his range.
Musically they are still tight as ever, yes. But you can also tell that touring is starting to take a physical toll on them, especially Neil. For 60 it's impressive that they're still doing what they doing, but still...on the last tour he did 3 short drum solos throughout the set instead of the usual single long solo. Unfortunately I think this might be the last tour.

Geddy is the sound of Rush. As soon as you her him sing you know it is Rush.
Same as Brian Johnson is to ACDC etc, etc.

I will be watching for my area for sure !
You hate them or love em. Rush in my opinion is one of the best band out there. Still touring and making lots of money. I am amazed at their road crews, tech etc. I was watching backstage passes yesterday and man Rush sure employs a lot of people to set up their stages etc. Top notch for sure. I hope this is not their last concert of which I doubt it cause they are still popular. Wonder if Neil will be getting a new kit for this tour.
