Has anyone played a wambooka? It's a hand drum with water in it.

Hi, I tryed it at NAMM, in Los Angeles, it's a fantastic percussion with a so beautifull sound, it plays like you use a wah wah pedal in the drum.

I played it too. Definitely would require some technical woodshedding to master the potential. The good news is you don't have to use water. The bad news is, if you use beer, it goes flat in less than one song...

I have not played one of these or even heard of it, but I've played some udu drums that had a chamber of water at the bottom, and those were pretty unique sounding as you could get all sorts of pitch changes and effects from moving it around and playing on the bottom.

It sounds quite a bit like a Udu drum.
