My custom Sonor Designers

Its been nearly ten years now since I had this kit made, and although Ive gigged it regularly, Ive always kept it in as prestige a condition as possible

I took a few shots of it last night (will use a tripod next time!) and thought Id share with those I know will appreciate them too

Those tuning lugs are phenomenal! I hate to admit it but I've never seen anything like those before!

I have an old Sonor from 84 and I hate when I misplace my Sonor key because it's that circle with a slit. I then find myself looking for a screw driver lol

Beautiful...I saw a used set of these for sale 2 yrs ago and man they were some of the best sounding drums I have ever heard. The best way I can put it is they sounded like they were mic'd when they were not. I think he wanted $3k for a used 5pc kit. Those lugs are great and I have seen them ona few other kits as well, I wonder why more companies do not use them, they make tuning that much easier.

I'm pretty sure that you can find them online. I had to buy one when I got my d-444.

I am seriously soooo jealous. My first drumset was a Sonor in 1985 and I still have it to this day. I will never ever sell it. Being it was my first kit I will also always have a thing for the Sonor Brand. I love a lot of their stuff. Just one of those things.. when you grow up with it, it become a part of you.
