    Default anyone ever play and rmv kit?

    I just got and rmv kit. Put coated ec2s on it (bought the wrong pack). They sound awesome. Sound is almost as good as my saturn kit. Paid $350 from guitar center used. A friend said he paid $1500 for a a similar kit minus the snare.
    It's Brazilian maple and only a 5ply. Super loud.

    Awesome shells, no longer distributed in the US.

    I think I heard something about the lugs being a weak point (some stories of broken ones)

    Very nice kits, but they don't get a lot of attention so resell is typically difficult because nobody has heard of them lol.

    That would be awesome, I'd love to play a full kit. I've only seen a few kits and a snare or two floating around;

    I had the thicker shell version when they first came to the states. 24" kick, 13", 16", 18" toms. No snare. Green sparkle. Fantastic kick drum sound. Used the 18" as a kick drum too. Whole kit sounded great. Sold it for car parts about years ago. Wish I hadn't.

    I remember seeing them either advertised or for sale, but I can't remember where (Modern Drummer maybe?). I've not heard much about RMV, but what little I've heard has been good.

    I just checked out their web site, and it looks like they make quality kits. It is in Brazile, so I could not read it. I did understand that they use Canadian maple. They also produce their own heads and hardware for their kits. All I found on fleabay was snares a couple of floor toms and a bunch of heads.
    1976 Tama Imperialstar Saturn 12+1 Platina6,8,10,12,13,14,15,16 concert toms, 16, 18 floor toms, 2-22x18 Bass drums.
    1971 5x14 Ludwig acrolite snare
    Tama metalworks snare 13x6
    DW collectors Maple Blue Glass7x8, 8x10, 9x12 rack toms, 11x14, 13x16 hanging toms, 18x23 bass, 8 and 12 timbale toms, 5.5x10 Ten and Six All Maple snare, 5.5x14 Supersolid snare, DW 9000 rack system, DW 5002 Double bass pedal, DW 5000 Hi-Hat stand, DW 9000 Snare stand.
    Sabian Xs20 cymbals: 16 & 18 crash, 20 ride, 14 hats, 8 splash, 18 china.

    So, what exactly is a RMV Kit?

    EDIT: Never mind, I did some good ole fashioned research and Google'd it.

    Are they popular anywhere else other than Brazil or S. America?
    Definitely not a common name here in the US.
