Default Kanye West, donkey? or just socially challenged?

I love Beck, this latest album, and went to see this tour. I was honestly surprised to see him win best album, because in my opinion the whole thing is flawed and manipulated. Kanye West and his unnecessary comments about real artists and giving back awards were beyond aggravating. The guy is a moron, irrelevent to the history of music, and people should stop paying attention to his pouting and ignorant acting out. Or is it just me? The guys a donkey!

Mr West has no class. Between what he did to Taylor Swift last time, and now this, he has ruined any credibility he ever had.

I refuse to discuss that name because that's exactly what he wants people to do. #fail

Can we talk about his horrid solo performance last night? He tried to sing, all by himself, with full auto tune. My grandmother could have sung that song better. Granted, she's 6'2", 250lbs. and runs a 4.5s 40...

As much as I hate Kanye as a person, this is absolutely not true. He may be a moron and an a-hole, but he's one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time.

    Influential doesn't mean talented.

Thanks for the info - I thought he had to be something other than a repellent, loud-mouthed publicity whore. If his talent is comparable to the size of his ego the guy must be amazing.

I admire Kanye West's skill as an arranger. However, he does some things that I don't agree with.

He does do some good stuff music wise, but his ego kinda ruins all that, I don’t go out of my way to listen to his stuff as a result, and besides there’s plenty of other talented musicians out there who aren’t full of themselves (such as Beck).

Lead singer from Garbage gave him an absolute serve via an open letter on the net. Anyone read that?

    The guy is a dork.
Look up "narcissist" in the dictionary and find his photo.

The opposite of love is not hate; it is indifference.
So I just ignore the fool.

Bob Dylan is incredibly and magically influential; and he can't sing a note.

This. He's a great producer, but that's where my respect for him starts and ends.

Paul Stanley was right, Beck should have kicked Kayne right in the nuts.

The guy has issues. He's a non factor to me. Fortunately, it seems the masses, even within the industry, have seen through this cult of personality phenomenon as far as he is concerned and have run out of patience...for now.

With all the important things going on in the world, why we trouble ourselves with this crap is beyond me.

I watched AC-DC and that was it for the Grammy's for me.

Isn't influential hip hop a oxymoron?

He kinda defined a whole generation of hip hop. I'm not a fan of his music or of hip hop in general but you gotta respect the influence he's had. He's by far the biggest hip hop artist of our time, and he's got the record sales to prove it. He doesn't follow the rules...his music is always evolving, always breaking molds, treading new ground.

AC/DC were probably the least talented ones of the night!
