Haven't a clue who the maker is, but I like the looks of that drum - especially the crayon art on the head!

Nice looking snare. I hope you find out because now you've got me curious.
If it were listed on Craigslist, it would probably be listed as an "Evans Snare Drum".![]()
I know you meant that as a joke but it is listed as a Evans snare!!![]()
Lugs look like old Camco .

I think she's homemade.
Just found out it's a Allegra snare that's made in Oregon, pretty nice looking.
Definitely a great looking snare.

Yes, interesting looking snare with claws and wood hoops.
Definitely an Allegra. Recognized it on sight, and THAT, is one fabulous drum.
The answer to all "Which one should I buy?" questions is the same. Play them and choose the one that sounds best to you.
I guess it's an Allegra, although the only part I recognize on it are the Adonis lugs.

From what I've read Allegra makes some nice and expensive drums.

From looking at the snare I wonder what are the two holds under the throw off. Just curious. They do seem to line up whit the throw off lugs unless the throw off is not seated in it's place.
Now you have us all curious..................did you get it? Pricey?
Thanks Butch that really makes sense. Never thought of it. Cause most snare wires come out through the hoops.
No I haven't got it, but I'm the high bidder! Auction is over Friday nite, bid is at $300.97 so far.
