Haven't a clue who the maker is, but I like the looks of that drum - especially the crayon art on the head!

If it were listed on Craigslist, it would probably be listed as an "Evans Snare Drum".

Definitely an Allegra. Recognized it on sight, and THAT, is one fabulous drum.
The answer to all "Which one should I buy?" questions is the same. Play them and choose the one that sounds best to you.

I guess it's an Allegra, although the only part I recognize on it are the Adonis lugs.

That's a good marketing tactic, especially if they spice it up with terms like "rare" or "limited edition". Could see some rich idiot forking 400 for it, easily.Nice looking snare. I hope you find out because now you've got me curious.

From looking at the snare I wonder what are the two holds under the throw off. Just curious. They do seem to line up whit the throw off lugs unless the throw off is not seated in it's place.

Pretty sure those holes are for the snare cord...............I've seen a few snare side hoops that had holes like that

Thanks Butch that really makes sense. Never thought of it. Cause most snare wires come out through the hoops.
