Hi 8beat. I already replied to you but it said the post was awaiting moderation, and hasn't shown up yet, which is weird. Go figure. Anyhow, I play all types of music! I used to play in jazz quartets/trios, to a death metal band! I'm not very good at playing right now as I'm just getting my stuff and hands together after a year off of playing. I guess you could check out my youtube to see some of the stuff I like to play.

Welcome to the forums. I've never seen either of those finishes before, are they specially designed? That's some collection you've got there!

Yeah they are special designs. One is DW Spider Pine, which they produced for a couple of years before discontinuing it. The other is Comet Sparkle from Pearl, which they still make. I bought the Pearls used, and the DW's from a shop so neither were requested by me to be made, I just liked them, saved up, and purchased them.

Welcome to Drum Chat! Like others have said,you have some very impressive drum kits - very nice. That snare! I would have to remember to bend my knees every time I picked it up or I would put my back out That thing is massive!

No its a Pearl Masterworks. Same specs as a reference series snare, so. 6 Plies of birch, 14 of maple.

Pearl Masterworks in Comet Sparkle In, 8x7, 10x8, 12x9, 14x11, 16x14, 22x20.

Normally it doesn't take very long at all. We seem to be down to one admin/moderator at the moment.

+ you need at least 10 post before you are approved. This way the Mod (Tom ) has time to check you out to make sure you are not a spammer etc. Be patient my friend it will happen soon. We all went through that process.
