This is the first day of three at Back To The Fifties.
One of the many dozen streets at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds.
Over 12,000 at noon and more still coming in.

Here's a Norfolk Southern intermodal negotiating "Lewistown Curve". The curve is the sharpest in nearly 100 miles of track and is speed restricted to 35mph.

And here's an awesome rock at Horseshoe Curve in Altoona. It's got the Pennsylvania RR, Conrail, and New York Central RR logos drawn on it. I would have loved to get an eastbound train shuffling through the S curve there but it didn't work out.

Nice enough guy, too. He had to hop out and throw a switch for the tracks.

    Great train shots marko.
If you ever get to Chicago there are several train viewing spots around the city.
This one in Rochelle is very popular. 80-90 trains per day.

Thanks Pops! This is a hobby I've just recently gotten into. It's fun.

I know Chicago is a huge train spot...a lot of the trains I photograph are either coming or going to Chi-town.

I swear marko, you could frame these as prints and sell them. If I ever get my game room up and going, I'd hang them up. They're awesome!
