hey people, I have just recently bought a drum kit and i really wanna learn how to be a class drummer but, i only had four lessons and my teacher left the country (i couldnt have been that bad surely)
but anyhoo, now i have to teach myself and i only know a few basic beats and i try to invent my own but they sound poo and rubbish. So i was wondering if you guys knew of any websites that have online drum patterns or anything like that, or any other just general advice as to how you all became good.
thanking you muchly, roo xx

Hey, roo...every one of us drummers were at one time "dim stars"...
Our buddies have shared some awesome advice (and websites)...I don't know if you had private lessons or your instructor operated a drum shop, but you may be able to get the method books MrMojoRisin suggested there.
And whatever method you use, practice, practice, practice!
Good luck!
keep the beat goin' ... Don't keep it to yourself!

Become good friends with your metronome. Structure your practice times and break down each of those scheduled times into pieces. Make it a serious routine so that you feel weird if you miss a session.
she must be pretty good now 11 years later.
