If you could choose any current band and oust their drummer and step in, what band would it be?

I'd choose the Foo Fighters. I think Dave Groehl is multi talented musician and it'd be fun to work with him even though their current drummer, Taylor Hawkins, is very under rated.

A couple of years ago I would have said "Maylene and the Sons of Disaster". They were my favorite band for a long time. Then I had an interaction with their singer and that completely ruined the band for me. I still love their music but I can hardly listen to them any more. I just think about what a DB he is.

    So...I'm not sure. LOL.

In an alternate universe: Jimi, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Dr John, The Meters, Rare Essence, SRV, Muddy Waters, Duke Ellington, Art Tatum, Ray Charles, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, just to name a few.

In reality, this band Little Barrie is about my skill level, and I like their music (they do the end theme from Better Call Saul). The Black Keys as well...

I had to think about this for awhile but it finally dawned on me. I'd drum for these guys because I've been diggin their music for many decades, plus the drummer has quite the imagination for such simple three chord rock n roll.

Of all the bands I would love to play with, they are for the most part above my level of ability, i.e., Return to Forever, UK, Dream Theater.

So I would have to go with IQ.
    Gretsch USA & Zildjian
(What Else Would I Ever Need ?)

OK, but.... if you had the ability, who would it be? Remember, this is just a hypothetical situation. The drumming genie now gives you the ability to be one of the best drummers in the world.

I don't doubt it Zack. You're an excellent drummer my friend.

I'd love to take either Steve Grantley's seat with Stiff Little Fingers, or (for the sheer fun factor) Tommy/Marky/Richie's throne with The Ramones.

This is hard! Probably Dave Mathews Band. I'm no where near Carter Beauford though! I wouldn't mind playing for Prince and Michael Jackson as well.
