This is what serious musicians live with.
Even though I lived in Jersey, I was only 15 minutes from Manhattan.
In a 25 mile radius of where I lived, there were probably 10,000 and possibly 20,000, musicians, so guitar players, keyboard players, bass players, even singers, were easy to find.
Finding musicians on the same page with you, aye, now therein lies the rub.
When we put our band together 40+ years ago, we had bass and drums.
We were looking for a guitarist/singer, or guitarist and singer, keyboards and rhythm guitarist. Because we had good management and gigs once we got everything together, we had "pick of the litter" as far as getting musicians for auditions. Getting musicians that were willing to put the time and effort into a band was a totally different thing.
If someone isn't on the same page with you now, odds are good that they won't be in the future.
