It's safe to say that all those bands had at least one masterpiece. Aqualung is def Jethro Tulls.

I like Songs from the Wood as well.

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham

    Thanks Jim. I agree also!

The songs on the Aqualung album cover a variety of musical genres, with elements of folk, blues, psychedelia and hard rock.

Not many groups have a top 40 hit in 5/4.

Living in the Past was a pretty good album too.

    Ah ,the olden days.

Saw Ian Anderson jam with Tull for 20-30 minutes while standing on one leg like a friggin stork! His signature posture. Weird, but so cool.

My brother in-law was a huge Tull fan. He was diagnosed with colon cancer. One of the things he wanted to do while he could was to record a Tull Tune. This started as a midi file. My friend replaced all the guitars with real ones, sent me the files, I layed down drum tracks. Finally my brother in-law did the vocals.
