You know I'm just playing with ya about Dave, he's good,Just I feel that he didn't bring to Priest what Ian Paice brought to Purple or what Clive Bur and Nicko brought to Maiden.
But no I love me some priest.Ripper,Electric Eye,and this one.

my amazing opinions are:
I generally agree with what people have said here, HOWEVER, I don't think Meg White is overrated because i have never heard anyone call her a good drummer. [deleted. We're not about that here. Please keep it family friendly. Thx. - Tom]
I have seen Grohl on top 20 lists of best drummers ever, I dont think he is. However, I wouldn't call him overrated if we ignore this fact, because he is a good drummer (just not top 20 all time). I find the Foo Fighters' music kinda boring and lacking, but that's my opinion. However, I do think that Grohl has a great perspective on music and I would make him president of the Rock n Roll university.
I think the Rolling Stones are very overrated as a band. It's good music, but not at all original...

I don't know if I'd call any drummer or other musician "overrated". Back when the Beatles were together, I heard lots and lots of people bash Ringo. Fast forward to the 2000s when I discovered internet fora. By and since this time, Ringo has garnered a great deal of respect. There is a website with thirteen things that Ringo added to drumming. He gets prominent mention in Daniel Glass's DVD about the history of drumming. So beware, the drummer you call overrated today is one who you may gain respect for down the road.

May this be the best day you ever had and the worst you ever will. Trinity House Mudslinger.
I agree...Joey Jordison is VERY overrated. Fast, sure. I certainly can't play like him. But his playing does nothing for me.
These types of threads never seem to go well. I've already had to delete a few nasty comments. Sorry folks but we're not about that here. I'm closing the thread. Let's build people up, not tear them down.
